Due to circumstances beyond our control, we had to change the location of this year’s breast cancer research fundraiser. In doing so, we had to change the date – to ONE week earlier: October 28-30th!! Saddly, for some on our wait list, that was a problem!
So, to accommodate as best we can, we have opened this “week-end” retreat up to “day-only OR week-end” retreat packages!!
As well, we have a solo-class package with added crop time on Friday (10am-3:30pm). This class was “JUST” ADDED to the venue, and is a MUST for any scrapbooker (simply because you will have a scrapbook page when you are done) but because it is a TECHNIQUE based class, there is MUCH to be learned for ANY paper crafter!!

Guess WHO is coming to town? It is that time of year again – WOOHOO – CATHIE ALLAN IS coming to town!!!! BUT… but wait, there is more… Haroldine Wingfield of “Be Creative” AND Deanna Pannell of “Glitter Ritz” are coming to town too! That’s right, THREE world class instructors – ONE great event!! Cathie will be teaching FOUR fantabulous classes and Haroldine and Deanna will be teaching two splendiferous classes!!
Once again we will be raising funds for the Canadian Cancer Society for breast cancer research!! We are kicking it up for our LAST “BIG or small, SAVE ‘EM ALL” fundraiser event. That’s right, this will be our LAST breast cancer fundraiser. NOT our last fundraiser, NOT our last BIG event, but our last ‘BIG or small, SAVE ‘EM ALL’ event!
Haroldine and Deanna are the “inventors” of the “Burnished Velvet” glittering technique!! What’s great for us is that they did NOT stop there!! They, like Cathie, are innovators in this industry who play – learn – then SHARE! You will walk away from this event with SO MUCH knowledge, I simply guarantee it will be worth EVERY penny!!!

HOW MUCH: $430.00 includes ALL meals including coffee, tea, snacks etc., SIX “awesome AMAZING technique BASED wonderful” classes!!! PLUS door prizes, a week-end of endless FUN and more!!
WHAT TO BRING: Bring your basics and a “small” project that you ‘may or may not’ get to work on. Remember, these classes are HIGHLY technique based, you will LEARN A LOT and might not want to do anything other than the classes! In other wards, you can leave the kitchen sink at home!
ACCOMMODATIONS: The Oyster Bay Resort came to our rescue once we had to move from our previously reserved spot, and have graciously provided us with the best rates they can! Cabins will be available for $120.00 per night and sleep four. These cabins are cozy and adorable (BIG jacuzzi tubs in each cabin) plus a kitchenette!
