Single Page Layout Class
Diane is offering a scrapbook layout class. There are 4 single page layouts for you to choose from. The class is being offered both July 27th and July 30th. Diane will be there from 10-4 both days and you can pick your own 2 hour time slot within this time frame with the last slots starting at 2:00 to ensure a 4:00pm finish.
Cost is $15.00 and all supplies are included except adhesive. E transfer to info@scrapbookcentralbc.com or pay in store.
Beach Double Page Layout
Diane is offering a double page layout class with a beach theme. This class will take place July 30th from 5:00pm-7:00pm. All supplies are included except adhesive.

Four Seasons of Junk Journaling – Spring Edition
Join Kristen, in creating a “hybrid” junk journal.
I am very passionate about junk journaling and have been looking forward to doing a series of classes so we can really explore all sorts of variety in this wildly popular memory keeping style. There are just too many things that can be made/used that one session just can’t incorporate it all. Each journal will be a complete stand alone project so if you can’t make it for every season that is okay but I really hope you can so that we can delve into all the pretty, nitty, gritty of creating our own custom books. Each season we will create a new and different style of junk journal using both common “junk” items as well as gorgeous paper lines to create a more stylized junk journal that we will use to keep track of our seasonal adventures with spaces for writing, pictures and memorabilia.
IMPORTANT: Please purchase your paper package at the store at your earliest convenience as there
will be some pre-cutting and inking to do ahead of time so we have more time to create and decorate the album together.
Note: It will be very ambitious of us to fully create a journal in 4 hours so our focus will be on
completing the book making portion with cover and closures and after that we will work on decorating the pages. I would love to spend the extra time needed to complete it all so if you would like extra time we will take a break at 3:30 to stretch, eat and shop and then resume at 4:30. If you feel comfortable finishing your decorating at home you may, but I wanted to be available for extra time for those who want/need it.
Please let me know if you are new to junk journaling when you register. This class is an intermediate
level but it is very exciting to welcome new people to this experience and I can accommodate people working at different paces. Feel free to message me with any questions or concerns.
Alcohol Ink With Isabelle
This session is mostly intended for people who have had a little experience with Alcohol Ink, but beginners are always welcome and will be accommodated.
1/2 of the session will be guided as we work on a 8.5”x11” landscape on silver paper and a 8.5”x11” flower painting (silver or synthetic paper). The other half will offer you more choices depending on your level of comfort and own creative juices: use of stencils, aluminum small or bigger surfaces, wood, etc. Work on a tree of life or another landscape or flower, waves, etc.. The purpose is to work towards a little more independence and come up with 3/4 final projects. You will be provided with suggestions, guidance, examples, ideas, and a variety of inks, watercolour pens, liquid pearls, etc., as well as varying surfaces.
We will work with canned air, so please bring your own.
For the Book Lover – Stacked Book Drawers
In this class Nancy created a set of 3 beautiful book drawers using Carta Bella “Secret Garden”. The books vary in size, stack and contain decorative metal accents which highlight the hidden drawer. These sturdy boxes are functional and each open in a different manner. When stacked horizontally the drawers pull open to reveal a box which can store a variety of items.

Winter Sparkles
In this class, we will use Alcohol Ink on silver cardstock. We will create four 5”x7” paintings ( cards and envelopes provided). Come with an open mind and desire to explore and have some fun!
We will tackle a couple of of easy winter beach/tree projects and finish with a more elaborate one (birches in winter landscape).
For this reason, a little experience with Alcohol Ink or painting in general, though not absolutely necessary, is preferable.
Lighthouses Alcohol Ink Class
In this class, you will have fun creating a lighthouse scene on a 6”x6”tile and one larger seascape with lighthouse on 81/2 X 11 photo paper (with black mat provided). Faster workers will also be able to create their own landscape lighthouse scene, card size (card and envelope provided). Because this class involves more detailed work than some of Isabelle’s prior ones, she prefers to set the base as two pieces with the possibility of adding one more if time permits.
Water Scenes
In this class, you will have fun creating one scene on a 6”x6”tile and 3 on yupo/photo paper card size.
The focus will be koi fish/octopus, but one card could depict the fish of your choice, so bring your own picture for inspiration and create your own aquarium scene! As usual, Isabelle will have her watercolour pencils, liquid pearls or Posca pens on hand for you to add details if you choose to do so, but you are welcome to bring your own “tools” if you have any. Prior experience with Alcohol inks will help, but is NOT necessary.. Techniques and use of inks will be fully demonstrated, and everyone can have success! Come and have fun with me
